Forestry Industry
Fepasa is the main transport used for cellulose, providing
services to the main companies of the country, CMPC
and Celulosa Arauco y Constitución. In addition
we transport the raw material required to produce
cellulose, pulp lumber, chemicals and petroleum. In
2004, Fepasa initiated the transport of cellulose
and related products for Celulosa Arauco y Constitución´s
new plant in the Mariquina zone.
Mining
Industry
The largest mining companies of the central zone
transport copper in our trains. This
product
is transported from the mines to the ports of the
central zone including those in Ventanas, Valparaíso
and San Antonio.
Agricultural Industry
The railroad transports high volumes of imported
and locally grown agricultural products such as:
wheat, corn, soy, raise, fertilizers and others.
Imported products are transported from the ports
of Ventanas, San Antonio and Lirquén to the
consumption and processing areas located in the
central zone.
Industrial
Industry
The railroad transports steel, iron, cement, sugar,
OSB wood, from the various production plants throughout
the whole network. The most important destination
of these products is the consumer areas near Santiago.
In addition, Fepasa transports the raw materials
required by these industries.

Containers
FEPASA has been increasing its participation in
the transport of containers between the ports of
the central zone (San Antonio and Valparaíso),
and the most important terminals in Santiago. We
are the main medium of transport of containers between
the ports of the central zone and the ports of the
VIII Region, a 600 kilometers of distance. Our company
also transports frozen salmon in reefer containers
from Puerto Montt to the port of San Antonio, a
distance of 1,100 kilometers.
Waste
Transport
More than half of the waste that the city of Santiago
produces is transported in special cars rebuilt
by our company. Over 1,5 million tons of waste is
transported from a transference terminal in Quilicura
to the area of Montenegro in the north of Santiago,
where it is deposited in landfills.
